Myv40 drivers side seatbelt will not come out any more, even if I take it really slow the ratchet just locks it up. I am having some trouble trying to source another one of these. Or does this have to be replaced with a new part?????

 

Have you checked to see if that belt isn't tangled causing it to not come out?

 

Yes I have checked it is not tangled. I have spoken to some friends and say the tensioner that holds the ratchet has failed, even by pulling on the belt very slowly it still will not come out. The only thing to do is to replace the belt.

 

I have got the seatbelt fixed. I was lucky enogh to find a second hand replacement in good order.
