Electric Window Puzzle
V70 2000 Pass window has not functioned properly ever, in auto park the window would always close but then open again by a random amount. Not a problem, just holding the switch up momentarily and the window would stay closed.
Recently the window refuses to open, you can hear a type of servo click when moving both master and pass switches to up, but no noise at all pushing down. So strip it all out, inc remove power from motor, fail to remove the motor (undid 3 torx screws- wouldnt budge). So re-assemble and the whole lot, it works fine. then it randomly decided halfway up was closed, but holding switch up closed window. But then it wont open.
Swear a bit, remove connector on motor, replace connector on motor- works fine up and down 15-20 times. Then it stops working again (only when closed). I can repeat this disconnect and reconnect and make it work again.
So unlikely dirty switches, I think it loses its position and refuses to open until power is removed which resets something, then after working for a very short while decides it wants to stay closed.
Would appreciate any advice, damn thing is driving me nuts!

Sounds unusual. Some unusual power window problems can occur if the battery is disconnected or go dead. Many times there is a programming procedure in the owner's manual to calibrate the power windows. Regardless, good luck.
Thanks MKC70, unlikely to be batt as replaced 9 months ago, I had heard about this re-programming before but local inde doesn't seem to know answer. Anyone else out there know how to re-prog? or indeed have a wiring diagram? I would even fit an independent switch to reset it (i know, a bodge but its 10 years old) if i could figure out which of the 6 wires to the motor might do it.
