ETS and engine lite is on. Engine acts like the vacuum hose is not connected. Could it be---silly question---the vacuum hose and not the throttle module?

 

Year and model would be helpful. Most likely is the throttle module, especially if it's 1999-2001

 

Sorry 'bout that !! It's a 99 Volvo GLT V70. Dealer said clean the module might do it. Had it replaced 4 years ago by the dealer. Doug

 

our Throttle Module was replaced by the dealer 4 years ago. this week we'll have to have the car towed to a dealer or to a local non-dealer.

The non-dealer said he would use the xMODEx to replace. Do you advise going to a non-Volvo dealer for this replacement

Doesn't Volvo parts have an upgraded module now that fixes the past issues?
