Yeah I saw the fulcrums for the tool. So the slides do they go away from modules or toward to remove?

Sorry, yes scanner reads live data and I have the snap on vantage pro for component level testing as well.

I forget without looking which way they slide. I think they slide back towards the cab of the car.

Also see if you can give it gas with your foot on the brake in gear. Usually when it goes into limp home mode you cannot give it gas with your foot on the brake. Nothing will happen.

This is really a wacky problem.
But the can sensor does feed the signal to the coils and injectors.
Also the cam sensor has a second circuit that reads the VVT and timing.

Ok I will check theese issues. I wasnt sure about limp mode. It certainly responds very slowly when pushing on throttle. If I floor it it only gives like 3k rpm, and gets there real slow, but I havent tried with brake pedal on when it is doing that. So anyway today I will hook the scope to the cam sensor and check waveform pattern then repost. Thanks

Cam sensor has a good waveform. I swear the pcm seems bad. No.2 coil pcm signal is dead as a doornail.No.2 noid comes and goes. But when I try do drive it for testind and logging data its like it wont move I cant get any turbo spool, wont go over 10mph but with my foot on brake and car in drive I can rev some. It acts like you stuffed a rag in the intake but all hoses are good no holes (I ran a smoke machine on it) and the cat is clear, man, what gives?

Oh and also now I have a P0014, cam accuator b timing too far advanced? Anyone wanna buy a volvo? Still no love on NO.2 coil signal. Unhooked battery to see if resetting helps. Oh yeah I took the pcm out and connectors are clean as a whistle. So at this point we know for sure I need ETM and software, and it is looking like perhaps a PCM also, is this even worth fixing?

I wonder if the timing belt jumped?

Well that sounds reasonable, is there a post that describes a way to check that? That would probabaly set that cam acuator code right? And I have seen cars run but not be able to move with a timing jump. But why no NO.2 coil signal, enough runout in timing to miss cam sensor for that cyl but barely catch the others, I guess that could explain the noid as well right ??

i just wanted to add a quick comment.. my ets light is on and car is acting a little funny when accelerating, i talked to my mechanic and he says call the dealer theres a warranty on that and they'll download some new software for the ets and your good to go! Im going in tomorrow, so hopefully all will go well. So for anyone out there with their ets light on, call the dealer! Its free!
