Default a few issues

Hello all, my 2000 v70 xc sounds as though it is idling a bit fast. i am going to change the spark plugs this weekend since the paper trail shows its been a while. my last car was an 82 thunderbird, so i am unfamiliar with the ignition coils directly over each plug. is there anything i should keep in mind when removing them? i am also considering adding lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer to the engine oil. i have heard only good things about lucas products and my gas mileage is hurting(last 2 months dropped from 22 to approximately 19.8 with no signs of stopping). any other ideas to boost the mpg?

First try cleaning your MAF sensor with CRC MAF Sensor Cleaner (any parts store). A dirty MAF can cause your symptoms, which is a lean reading telling the computer to send more gas, when it doesn't need it. This should be done every year anyway (sensor gets gummed up), and it might just solve the problem for $7.
