Default Front 12volt socket question

Hi all!

I just picked up a 2000 V70, and one of the only issues is that the front 12 volt socket seemed to have pushed through the wood grain center piece.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can re-seat this into place?

Thanks everyone!

Need access to underneath to seat it properly. I would remove the coin trim piece underneath the ashtray and hazard switch. Heated seat switches should be in this piece. Pop it out and this should give you enough working space.

Thanks! I did get access enough under the socket area. As you're probably aware, there is a green plastic piece around the metal sleeve, which appears to offer illumination to the area in the dark. I also note that on this plastic piece there are slots that look like they are designed to fit into the wood trim piece. I tried for over 20 minute to get this piece to slide in, but it seems as though the diameter of the metal and plastic is bigger than the size in the wood trim, which isn't allowing it to be pushed back into place,

Do you need to pry the tab sections in the wood trim away to get the lighter assembly to fit, or perhaps someone has a better recommendation before I end up snapping the piece altogether?

Thanks again everyone!
