Default Front Wheel Bearing Replacement Problem!

While changing the front wheel bearing I came upon a problem. After removing the axle bolt, I cant get the axle off of the hub. Should I just put some force on it with a sledge hammer, or is there a trick to removing it?

If you have one of the P2 cars (which I think you do) it's way more complicated than just removing a bolt. See this thread: http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/cha...?p=63174#63174
