GLT Question

In 98, Did volvo ever put out a non turbo GLT? A friend has a a 98 GLT and its not a turbo. Im thinking a motor change? can the vin number prove it either way?

Yes the VIN will tell you what the car was manufactured with. It is possible that someone just put the GLT badge on it.
