Default Help w/ 98 V70 non Turbo

Hi all,

I have a 98 V70, a month or so ago it just died in my front driveway. Seemed very much like fuel problem. It will start, run for a few minutes and stumble and die out. I could restart it and it may or may not run for a few minutes and die out. But it would always die out. So after checking here and getting some advice. I replaced the fuel filter, no fix. I replaced the fuel pump relay, no fix. Left thinking only thing now has to be fuel pump. But before I replaced it I took Tech's advice and tested fuel pressure. I got a constant 35 psi up till it quit. After shut off fuel pressure would remain. So it did not leak down.

So the question, what else can it be? Mass air flow sensor, throttle position sensor, or ????????? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bo Rogers

I had a similar trouble andfuel pressure sensor was bad. VNA recalled few V70 for this issue but mine was not on their list somehow.

Where is the fuel pressure sensor. Is it different than the fuel pressure relay. I know for sure that the fuel pressure is good or at least does not drop when it dies out. So any way, would you know the sensor location.

Thanks
Bo
