Default HELP!!!!! XC still overheating after new radiator

I just replaced my radiator and the car is still overheating. The top hose to the radiator is hot, the bottom outlet hose is cool/cold. My water bottle is boiling. I only put water in the bottle since the radiator has no cap. Is there an air bubble that is preventing my water from flowing?
Any help I appreciate.

Could be a stuck closed thermostat.

Did you install a new thermostat?
I always reccomend replacing the thermostat when replacing any pretty big part on the cooling system.

No I did not replace the t-stat but my thinking was that since the t-stat is on the block and I think the water flows from the t-stat to the radiator on top that is the t-stat was stuck the top hose would not be hot which it is. It is easy enough to take out entirely to see if that helps.

Hey UniqueMicro,

I may have a radiator replacement coming up on the same vehicle. At first glance it didn't look fun. How'd the actual install go for you? Looks like I'll be replacing the T-stat too, just in case.

I heard replacing the radiator could take 6 hours for a mechanic. It took me about 3 hours to take it out and replace it. Basically it is a three cooler sandwich. The radiator is closest to the engine, an internal gas cooler and another smaller radiator in the front. I had to jack the car up on one side about a foot. Four main bolts hold the radiator in with one bolt/nut one each side lifts the radiator in place, disconnect all hoses (6) total including the transmission fluid. The radiator and the internal gas cooler come out together. No need to disconnect any wiring although the relays at the top of the radiator will need to be dismounted from the plastic.
