How is the evap fan controled during A/C?
My (2001 V70 2.3 turbo) electric fan at the radiator/Evaporative condensor doesn't turn on and cool the evap when the car is stationary.
I observed the refrigerant pressure climbs until the dangerous level when the hi pressure switch shuts off the compressor clutch. Previously cool air blows hot from the heat exchanger in the car.
Eventually when the engine coolant gets hot the radiator/Evap fan turns on which in turn lowers the refrigerant pressure and the A/C clutch comes back on (lowering the refrigeant pressure) and the cabin begins to cools until the engine temperature is satisfied thus shutting off the fan. This cycle repeats.
I can't find the electrical link between the A/C and the evaporator fan.
On some cars when the A/C is on, the fan is on!! how does Volvo control the evaporator fan during A/C.
My electrical resorces are Haynes and All-data but as yet I can't find a relay or sensor that can turn on the fan as a result of an A/C input signal?
