I hear the 2001 V70 cars suck, what about 2001 T-5 5 speed?
There is a 2001 T-5 Five speed for sale near me for $6900. New water pump and timing belt. Car has 110000 miles.
Should I anticipate lots of problems with this car or are the 2001 problems only on the auto transmissions?

As an 01 V70 owner it is sad to see it bashed so much. Perhaps deserved, but my perspective is very different. 115K miles without issue. NOT A SINGLE FAILURE. The 5 speed auto tranny shifts perfect. Yes I did have the stop neutral function eliminated in the 1st 5K miles, and I did an initial fluid change at 70K and again at 100K. The ETM is still running perfect, but yes it worries me from all I've read. Am I the norm? Probably not from all I've read, but there are some good ones out there.
