Default lower control arm question

I removed the bolts from the lower control arm on on my '01 v70 and moved the control arm out of its normal position. I can't get it back in position to re-bolt and secure. Do you have any advice?

Go sit inside and give it a minute, usually for me it is frustration that causes my biggest problem. Maybe try some sort of lubricating fluid to help it slide in.

It is a pain to get back together. I usually take the axle loose and out of the hub and pull the hub out some so the arm will sit level. Then screw it back in. Then worry about the axle and hub.

Thx tech. Do you remove or just loosen the axle and nut? Is it diffucult to re-assemble the axle and nut, then? Also, would the sway bar and link be adding to the difficulty in getting the control arm back in place?

I would remove the sway bar link.

The bolt should come out of the axle pretty easy. Then the axle should slide out pretty easy as well.

Make sure you don't lose the rubber part between the axle and hub.

Thx again for the advice. Will remove the sway bar link and loosen the axle and nut for additional wiggle room. Will let you know how it goes.
