Default new guy /electric window/lock issues

HI GUYS/GALS;
new to forum,just purchased a 1998 v70 (private owner)
wondering why i got such a good deal.
tried to roll down windows, only drivers side responded from master control
didn't matter whether override switch was ON or OFF
then tried individual controls@corresponding doors
got drivers rear down[:@]won't go back up
tried door locks,@main control, seemed to work
then tried pass. side lock@control [:@]
now doors won't lock.
where should I start troubleshooting?

thanx for reply,
car has 156,000 mi. on it
doesn't look like it was abused, but not brand new looking either
is this a common problem w/ windows?
are there any relays/connectors I should be checking first?

Usually only OEM.
The aftermarket ones are usually junk.

Could also be a window regulator.

I would suggest pulling the door panel and testing for power and ground to the motor.

when using master switch, i can hear a click @the corresponding window i am trying to operate
neither passenger side window responds to any switch
aren't the regulators window specific?

Yes they are.
Another thing to check is in the door jam the wiring harness from the door is a plug with a turn lock connector. You have to loosen the little torxes screw first then turn the plastic. Check the pins on both sides good and see if one of the terminals slid out.

You still might want to remove the panel and check for power and ground at the motor plug.

The if you had power and ground that swapped with the switch for up and down then the motor might be bad.
