No windshield fluid coming out v70 XC PLEASE HELP
Hi everyone
I'm new to this forum.
A couple of months ago I bought a well used Volvo v70 xc awd wagon. This car has been heavily driven (185000 miles and counting) but has had very good, well documented regular maintenance. There are some minor things wrong with it-but the most recent development is really bothering me.
Does anybody know why windshield fluid would not come out of the front sprayers but still come out on the back windshield? I have tried checking the line and nothing seems to be blocked. This happened once before but I jiggled the line and it started working again. Now I haven't had any windshield fluid for days and I am carring around a spray bottle since the weather is so awful.
If it's a big fix I will probably just ignore it best I canI only paid $3000 for the car.

I believe there are 2 seperate motors, but only one tank. I think I remember someone saying you can see the bottom where the motors are from beneath the car, so perhaps this will help? Perhaps check to make sure they are getting current with a trouble light or volt meter.
Here is a good link I just found, check the PDF file at the bottom.

Pop the hood and have your wife or girlfriend (or both) turn on the washer. Then stick your head under the hood and listen for the noise of the pump. If you hear the noise, the lines are clogged, if you don't hear the noise the pump is busted or it's not getting power.
