My V70's lift gate makes all kinds of squeeks and noises when it is shut and I am driving down the road. I have checked all over the gate and don't see anything loose so I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if there are any particulars that I need to look for in regards to stopping the noise. I know that Volvo's hard plastic interiors are prone to making noise where panels rub together but I am hoping that there is a fix for this one. I look forward to hearing from yall.

 

Maybe the wiper motor came loose.

 

Check to see if there is a plastic piece, where the latch hooks, this could be your rattle.If not, wrap some electrical tape a bunch of turns around it.
