Default Please Help! V70 THOUGHT head was blown.

So I finally got the cylinder head removed and to my surprise......The gasket was not blown!
Oh yea did I mention that one of the Head Bolts broke on its way out. So now I get to figure out how to remove that torqued-in bolt.

So my question to all of you is...What do I do?
How can I take that piece of bolt out and also if the gasket was not blown what else could have caused the exhaust to have white smoke, brown debris in the coolant expansion tank and creamy brown oil.

I'm posting some pictures of the gasket also, there is this chunky white gunk on it.

Any thing you guys can say would I'm sure help. I have spent most of my money buying the car and buying the parts to make the car reliable. The car was running fine before it was dismantled so I took the risk on repairing.

Think its worth trying to salvage?

Sometimes the head bolt will just back out using a pick.
Other times a reverse drill bit and easy out will get it out.

Check to see if the head is warped. They commonly warp and not blow the gasket.

I checked it with a straight edge and the head was straight, I think I did it right.
I'm taking it to a machine shop tomorrow to have the head cleaned and the valves cleaned.
I'll ask them to check the surface too.

So reading other posts....Could this be the radiator causing this? Is the oil cooler and the trans cooler located within the radiator? Im ok with replacing the radiator, with all that chunky stuff in the expansion tank and the coolant channels in the block, I'm sure it wouldnt be a bad thing.

Have the machine shop pressure ck the coolant galleys in the head too; could have a cracked head...

I was told also that had the coolant leaked into one of the cylinders the piston and cylinder would have been "steam cleaned." And all the cylinders are still showing their age (black, and full of deposits.) though one piston is quite shiny with what looks like oil. the intake and exhaust ports for that cylinder are in the same condition; Bad Turbo? Bad PCV?

I know I bought a money pit but with it being the only V70xc in the state for under $5k and with the interior in such great shape I still feel like I got a deal.

What year is yours?
If it is a 98 the oil cooler is part of the radiator. If 99 or a 2000 it is on the back of the oil pan. I have seen a few of them go bad as well.

But it is also possible the tranny cooler let go.

Yep, 98 B5254t?
Is the Tranny cooler part of the Radiator? Or is located somewhere else? Hoping replacing the radiator will fix this one problem and let me move on to the next if/when it has one.

The tranny and oil cooler are all in the radiator on the 98's.
