I had this problem when I fitted a non-Volvo replacement bulb to the right rear driving light cluster. All the lights were illuminated but the message still came up. Finally after three days it went away and things went back to normal. Have you replaced a bulb recently?

I finally got it cleared by the dealer. However they charged me 116 dollars because I needed to clear a airbag code, when I installed a ipod adapter and forgot to wait 15 minutes after disconecting the battery. I dealer gave me some excuse of WE CANT JUST CLEAR THE CODE WE HAVE TO TEST THE ENTIRE SYSTEM. What a rip off.

yea, next time save the $116 and buy yourself a code scanner(Less than $116) that can clear and tell you pending/active codes.

Clearing the SRS light takes a special scanner and the only places around here that I know that has them isthe Dealer and an Independent Volvo repair shop. I had a local mechanic fix something that caused my SRS light to come on and he had to take it to the Dealer to get the light reset. Cost me an extra $117.

I have had this problem for a few days. My husband told me which light was not coming on. I referred to the Volvo manual and it appears to be a 5W, #67 bulb which I bought. When I took the carpeted panel off of the back to replace it, I'm really not feeling a bulb. I did pull out a bulb in a some sort of twist assembly, but the bulb was larger than what I had bought. Did I get the wrong bulb or am I just not feeling for it in the correct place? Thanks!
