positioning bulb
Hello, The procedure is in the owner's manual. Do you have one? Alas, some plastic trim has to come off. If you don't have an owner's manual I'll transcribe the pertinent passage from mine. We are talking about a P2 V70, yes? Also, are you talking about a high section on either side of the back window or a low section? Kira
thanks very much, as soon as you mentioned plastic trim i knew what to do, I havent got an owners manual as only bought it a few months ago and it didnt have 1. Got to give the car a full valet whilst doing bulbs anyway, by the way whats a p2 v70, mines a 2.4 SE v70.
Hello, The term P1 refers to V70's made from 1998-2000. It stands for platform 1-the same as 850 wagons. Platform 2 covers 2001-2007-the ones with "curved shoulders". Maybe it's slang or a No. American term. I don't know what term, if any, is used to denote the 2008- V70's. Kira
Since you didn't state a year, here's a 2001 manual. You can search for the correct year once you're there.

The inner trim panel is easily removed as is the bulb. Installation of the bulb holder is a bit more difficult. Sometimes it just a bum contact either on the bulb or the holder.
