Default Prop shft replacement on 1999 V70 XC

Newbie here with a question... I've got a 1999 V70 XC that needs to have the prop shaft replaced. I've done some researching and it appears that this is not a terribly difficult thing to do. Can someone point me to some instructions and/or pics? Also, any advice is very welcome!

Thanks!

Replaced the propshaft on my 98 V70R last year (center bearing completely gone) and the worst thing is paying for it! As I recall, a new one was $1300 +. I used a rebuilt one from Colorado Driveshaft for $475-$500 exchange inc. shipping. Service was prompt and the shaft has performed well. Removal and installation is straightforward - hex key bolts at both flange ends and 2 bolts at the center bearing bracket. Watch for different lengths or a color marking on the hex key bolts - apparently this how volvo does final balance. My were all the same so I didn't encounter this.

Thanks for the input. I actually already removed it yesterday (Sunday). It was exactly as you said. Once I figured out that it was a hex key (didn't have your response yet), I went a bought a 6mm hex socket and used my air ratchet. Not quite "easy-peasy", but not bad. I think my biggest mistake was not raising the car higher. When, and if, I buy a replacement, I will jack it up to the max height I can go.

So now I either have to get a replacement shaft, or peel off the "XC AWD" lettering.
