Default Question about egr vs. non-egr heads...

So, I was wondering what are the differences between a B5254T head with and without EGR? Besides the physicality issues with the head is there something more subtle like a slightly different compression? Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated, and I'll tell you why...

I had to buy a new head for my awd 98 V70 and I bought an egr head while mine is non-egr. It's my mistake, but it appears that the egr head is compatible so if I can get away with it I will. I'd rather not ship this one back and wait for another head. Thanks again.

Default Nevermind...

I found out that they are different. Higher compression ratio on the EGR head. Learned that the hard way.
