Default Rear Differential or Slip Coupling?

Hey guys,

I have this intermitent problem that I have yet to solve. After I've been at speeds above 50, when I decelerate and then make a turn while accelerating, I got this masive TONK in the rear of the car. I also happens from time to time on deceleration. I don't think it's tranny because the car shifts great and the noise really comes from the back. I did once find a drop of oil coming out of the slip coupling but my mechanic said it seemed fine.

ANY THOUGHTS?> ANYTHING?

Thanks

Pinner

Does anyone have any thought or ideas?? I have a 2000 V70 AWD and it seems to be doing the same thing. As you accelerate to around 30mph it has a wining ring noise (like a gear striping) and then clonks hard. Anything would be great, Thanks
