Default Replacing Brake Light Bulb

Hi there, 1st time posting here. Just wondering how I can get in to change my brake light bulb. I looked around a little bit and nothing jumped out at me. Anyone know? Thanks so much for your help in advance.

You will have to remove the side panel in the corner of the hatch area.
Depending on what year it is older one you will need to remove a plastic panel. 2001 and newer will be a carpeted panel with a handle to release.

Hi there,

Thanks so much for your help...I found what you were talking about. In my car, 2002, it's a plastic thing with a handle. I pulled that out but I'm thinking it's going to be impossible for me to snake my hand up there to change the bulb. So I'm thinking the next panel up will have to come off too. If I'm remembering correctly there's a speaker there. Do you know if that next panel up comes off? Thanks so much for all your help.

It is very tight. The speaker cover and speaker come off. There should be a little notch to use a small screwdriver to pop the panel out. Then pull the RED clip out and remove the speaker.
But I forget exactly which socket is which. If the Brake light is high then you might be able to get it from the top. If it is low you will need to try from the bottom.
