Reset Service indicator: numbers displayed

Reset Service indicator: numbers displayed
Hi All
Just serviced the car (v70 2000, first of the p2) and when I try to reset the service indicator I get a number displayed in the message panel. Initially it was 65, then 66, 67 and now 42!
Anyone have a clue what it's trying to tell me?
