How do I reset the service reminder indicator on my FWD XC90 with 3.2 L engine? This is my first Volvo. Thanks in advance for any help.

 

You will have to have the Dealer reset that for you... They have a scanner tool that does that... It is just a reminder, some people just let it be. I had mine reset. Some independent Volvo shops are able to reset it if they have the right tool. Otherwise, its a trip to the Dealer.

 

Actually, you can reset it yourself with the Read and Reset buttons. I'll look for the page that told me how to do it, but you can just do a google search and should find it.

 

here, try this:

Ignition to position I
Press and hold in the reset button for the trip odometer
Ignition to position II.
Hold the reset button for the trip odometer pressed in until the original value has been reset
The information lamp lights when the reset button must be released
Release the reset button for the trip odometer within 4 seconds . The instrument gives an audible signal when resetting has succeeded
If the trip odometer is already reset, the reset button must be held in for a minimum of 10 seconds and a maximum of 14 seconds .
