Hi all! I tried the reset proccedure for resetting the service message that apparantly worked for artgirl who has an 06 V70, and it did not work on my 02. Can anyone help on resetting the message on an 02 V70. Unfortunately my code reader does not reset this message either which was a little disappointing.

These years are tricky sometimes.

Follow all the steps you did before, but do not look for any flashing symbols, as soon as you hold the trip button in POS 2, count to ten and proceed as usual, letting go, turn key off.

No luck with this new proceedure! I guess I will have to live with service reminder until the next trip to the shop.

Shawn, one more thing, and READ THIS CAREFULLY!!!!!!!!!!

Let me give you another tip, if you have miles in the trip meter, you know the one you can reset, right below the odometer. If you perform this procedure of resetting the maintenance light, the miles usually go to 000.0, because your holding the trip button!!!

Now, if you pay close attention during the reset procedure, this 000.0, it will reappear within a certain amount of time, with the miles you had on there before, and when it does, let go of the trip button and turn the key off, IMMEDIATELY!!!

Let me know how it goes, otherwise dealer will do it for you, it may need software.
