Default Right motor mount

My car had a flat tire so I took it in for repair. Was told the right motor mount needs to be replaced. How extensive a job is this? How important is it? Does it need to be done right away? Is it a result of all the potholes in the raids today? Thanks!

It is not from any pothole, normal wear and tear. It is relatively easy to replace, support engine, un bolt, raise engine R&R, lower engine, tighten bolts. If this one is shot your two tourqe mounts are probably shot (upper and lower) along with your strut bar bushings.

What year is your car? Here are some instructions I posted.
Motor mount, right side, Volvo S70, replacement instructions

Don't hesitate checking the 850 DIY sticky if you have a pre 2001 V70.

I tried an aftermarket right mount and it failed in less than 6mos. I switched to OEM Volvo no problems.

That seems high for 1 motor mount. Mount is available from FCP for $60. I did this mount, upper and lower tourque mounts and strut bar bushings for less than half of that. Where are you located?

I'll check our mount on the S70 and see if it's still holding up.
