Sparked starter solenoid with ratchet handle during oil sensor replace now no start
2002 v70 non turbo. replaced relay checked fuses and battery all good. systems light up so i assume computer is ok. start attempt produces nothing. did i blow the solenoid? dmm goes to zero when key turned to start
Are you sure its fried and you didn't accidentally unplug/knock a terminal from the starter during your shocking experience? There is a spade terminal that can be temper-mental and if that is loose you will get absolutely nothing when trying to start the car. Ive done something similar with a flathead (insulated handle thankfully) and I am surprised the solenoid would be fried.
