Ticking Relay
In the space behind the LH rear lamp cluster on my 97 T5 estate, there is a cicuit board - long and narrow - that has the legend RYDER on it. It ticks every 2 seconds when the engine is running. Is this the fuel pump relay? It's a bit irritating.
How do I post a pic? Do I have to host the pic somewhere and link to it with [img] link /[img]
The device is about 4 inches long and 3/4 inches wide with three wires at one end and two at the other with I think 2 small relays on a mica circuit board containing resistors and the like. It has an unclippablee black plastic cover. To get at it I removed the carpet rectangle in front of the light cluster and parted some cables and eased it out on its own cables. Says Ryder on the plastic cover. I should also say that it doesn't always make the noise but when it does it's annoying. Thanks.
