01 V70 2.5
115k miles.
The trans on my V70 has been having thee following issue:
Drives fine on freeway but when you exit or get in stop & go traffic the trans "clunks" in to gear when moving from 1-2 2-3. The clunk is sometimes accompanied by higher revs before the gear slams in. This happens about 50% of the time. Other times it's just fine.
I checked the fluid & it's fine. Fluid was changed at 90K

Today during on of it's clunking periods in stop & go traffic the warning lite came on & the message center shows "Transmission needs service"
The tranny won't go in to 4th gear & is super sluggish off the line.
Any constructive advise would be most welcome,
