We have a 1998 v70xc suddely the orange up arrow started flashing, check engine on, the driving mode selector lights blinking and when you step on the gas the car doesn't want to go, it will but slowly. We have changed the PNP and transmission oil. It doesn't do it when you first start up but after a few miles,

You need to have the transmisison codes pulled.

 

That is different than getting the regular codes? does a Volvo dealer have to do it?

Most Volvo specialist shops can do it as well. Maybe some regular shops can as well.
