hi bought a 2001 t5 great for 5 days went for it this moring it started run for around 15 seconds then spluttered and cut out putting the engine management light on

tried to dtart it since it fires for a second or 2 the splutters and cuts out

if you keep turning it over it spluters (tries to start) then nothing just plain old turning over

any help would be good thanks will let you know the out come for future users!!!(i find a lot of forum faults are never finished

 

to keep you updated i had the car recovered and it started fine at the garage
the garage seem to think because i had it parked on a hill that the low level pump must have failed leaveing the main pump unable to draw fuel hence the small run time then nothing

will keep you posted i will have the pump out soon enough

 

Some of these cars had a problem with that, new design came out.

 

still not had time to get pump out due to weather but i have kept the car above 1/4 full of petrol and it seems to be ok

 

Im sorry for you, I have this car since a year, bought used, 120k miles, and I keep having problems.

last, i cannot find the inside panel door which is apparently not available anywhere.

for this problem I gotta get in and out from the passenger door or the trunk.

sell it asap and get something else.
