hi there,newbe here,just bought a v70 with some issues,wonder if anyone can give some advise.
basically there is no dashboard working,it does come on sometimes but lights up like a christmas tree error message telling me the brakes are going to fail all warning lights on with no speedo working.
ive pulled the dash but cant see any dry joints.also the left hand indicators dont work at all the relay ticks when you use the indicator stalk but no bulbs light.
it could be a dash issue,but could it also be a cem issue as there is a electrical shunt in the cem which controls the left hand side indicators,and another which controls the right hand side.
but what a great car to drive!!!!!
any advice appreciated

 

Do some research on the ABS controller - its located on the side of the ABS pump. These can get "cold solder joints" to give incorrect signals to the ECUs. Check out Volvo ABS Control Unit Computer General Information to see if it fits your symptoms. You can buy a used ABS control unit on Ebay or send yours out for rebuild (several services do this).
