Volvo v70 2001 intermittiant fault, car starts then stalls,restart lumpy,after increasing revs for 10 secs then will idle ok.
temp or standing time bear no patten to problem. Did have radio replaced with after market unit,car runs fine, no warnings or messages
any thoughts,thanks in advance Raymondo

 

A couple of things have you had the throttle body cleaned lately?
Did the dealer install software to remove the factory radio?

 

no the throttle body has not been cleaned or the comp told the radio has been replaced, could the comp be causing the idle fault? thanks tech

 

Anything is possible. The car is on a network. If one of the computers goes out it could take out more of them.

To have the software installed to remove the radio should cost about $30.00 for the software and between 1/2 to 1 hour labor. It should only be 1/2 hour though.
