Default Valve Body or New Transmission
Our 2001 Volvo XC V70, 125,000 miles has been shifting VERY roughly and the front end shimmies under loaded acceleration. Volvo dealer recomends Valve Body job ($1500) or new Transmission ($4500). But they are not a lot a lot of help as far as which way to go. Any body else had transmission problems? THANKS

With replacing the Valve body you have a 50/50 chance of it being fixed.
Have they tried all the latest software upgrades?
