where is the engine number

Default where is the engine number

hi i am a new volvo owner i have a v70 t5r 1999 estate in blue and want to know where i find the engine number people are telling me its on the cambelt cover on a sticker but mine does not have it there and i am lost as to where to look thanks for any help i am new to this forum

It is also supposed to be stamped into the block where the Head meets the block on the Cam belt side.
It will not be the Letters that will look like A A A B C Those are the Main Bearing Letters for sizes.
