I live in Colorado and spend a good amount of time on trails and in the snow. The stock tires (Pirelli Scorpion 245/45R20) on the vehicle need to be replaced asap - not a fan. I was looking at Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail tires (245/50R20) but concerned about the bigger sidewall.
Has anyone out there used a bigger sidewall than 45? I'm curious about the clearance/handling.

Can someone recommend an A/T or All-Season tire that'll hold up in the winter months and summer trails, etc.?

You have a few options here - the factory 20 inch rims are 8x20 ET50.5s so you can either keep those rims and find a narrower/taller tire with a similar rolling circumference (tirerack.com is a good resource to do some research - discount tire direct may also have similar info) or you can go with a minus 1 rim, ie an 8x19 and run 235/55-19s (that's a factory wheel/tire size option). It may be hard to find exact matches to the 245/50-20's rolling circumference in a 20 - something like a 235/55-20 would fit but may add 2% to the speedo (ie 1 MPH at 60) so the best option may be getting some 18 or 19 inch winter wheels and save the 20s for the summer. Another good resource for finding factory rim/tire options is wheel-size.com

I stuck with the stock size this time (245/45/20). I'll look into smaller wheels for the next set of A/T tires.
