I'm not sure how to clearly explain the problem. The AC, when selected, blows hot air. I live in New England. It's about 40 degrees outside. I set the Climate Control to LO. Select AC, and nothing but hot air. Sales and service looked at it, but didn't know the answer to the problem. I made a service appointment. 5 minutes later (no kidding) the AC is blowing cold air. Today (one day later), I notice the same problem - only hot air is coming out when AC is selected (however, when I minimize the climate control screen, no AC ON is see on the screen; when the AC is off, is shows AC OFF). I called Volvo - they tried to be helpful, but suggest bringing it back to service. Any ideas before I do?

No idea. Sounds like it needs the service department, unfortunately.

I never did unfortunately - I decided to sell the car.

 

My XC40 is certified pre-own. I hope I have not bought the same car as yours. Mine is black T5 momentum.
