Default Remote key

Is it possible to make a copy of the emergency key blade? I live in Hawaii and we need to take a key with us in the water when we surf. Looking for options. I know there is some sort of "activity key tag" that might also work but not sure about the costs and technical specifications. Also, assuming we can make a manual key from the blade, would the car be safe with the remote fob in the car? Thanks!

Sorry, this is for an XC40 Recharge

You have one in each remote you have - why not take it out of your other remote? But sure you can order one from your dealer from your VIN or if you can find a locksmith that has and can cut that kind of key blank.

Thanks. Sounds like my best bet is to find a locksmith who can cut a copy of the blade.

Or you can simply order a emergency key from the Volvo dealer parts department using your VIN. That way if it does not work properly (sometimes copies don't) you won't have to pay for it.
