2008 xc60. Sunroof, and interior light not working.
Good afternoon. I've been lurking on this forum for the past few days while trying to find a solution to my electrical gremlins. I've recently bought an xc60 2009 lux D5 AWD. It was a good detail and mechanically the car seems very sound.
My issues are that the interior lights, ie everything in the overhead console, rear passenger overhead, sun visor mirrors and the sunroof do not work. I've pulled and tested all of the fuses that in any way seem to relate to the above and they are all working.
The only anomaly seems to be a 10amp fuse in slot 17 under the glove box. This on the diagram should be a 7.5amp but I'm unsure if this has caused any issues.
I'm also getting an SRS urgent warning and I've seen on the forum that this could be due to the battery being discharged and apparently can cause the fault and also cause the issues with the lights and sunroof. As recommended by the responses in the posts I've tried disconnecting the battery and crossing the terminals and leaving for 15 mins. This had no effect on the warning or the sunroof/lights etc.
I've had the overhead console off and I cannot see any water damage or corrosion. I've also checked the blubs and traces on the PCB.
Has anyone had similar issues or experience with the above? Your input would be greatly appreciated.
I've also read that if there is a short the relay will stop the 12v from going to the fuse. I've read that checking the 12v on fuse 3 and 6 can tell if this is the case. The issue with this is that I don't have a fuse 6 in the engine bay on my model and there is no slot for one either. This has left me apprehensive to proceed with the above. Any thoughts on this procedure would be fantastic.
