One of the latches that holds the rear seat cushion in place is broken and will not release. Somehow, the previous owner managed to detach it completely from the bottom of the seat. Even though the button pushes in, it will still not release. Yet it still somehow attached to the seat bottom. Yes I know this sounds contradictory.

The latch is not properly attached to the seat bottom, yet it is somehow still preventing the seat from detaching nor will it release from the lock.

The other side works perfectly.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?
