I just bought this vehicle approx 82,000miles and noticed the button on the key fob and the button inside the car will not open/unlock the trunk. I’ve been researching like crazy and have come to the conclusion it may be the trunk actuator? Has anyone else had this issue? It works perfectly fine if I manually open it from outside using the button on the trunk itself. This is not a power tailgate either. But I would think the trunk should still open pushing either the inside button or the button on the key fob. I changed the fuse as well. And didn’t work.

I have exactly the same issue, tailgate button also seems to need a couple of presses to open. Any fixes please?
