2022 XC60 Engine and Infotainment Issues
I have a 2 week old Volvo XC60. Numerous issues with the infotainment system. It has already had to have a battery reset to make it operational. It also requires soft reboots to resolve app issues. Still waiting for Volvo to provide an update to resolve stability along with AppleCar Play (as advertised).
The latest most pressing issue is the vehicle would not start. The vehicle thought it was still running, but the parking brake was engaged and the console would display the engine is running (when opening the doors). The vehicle had to be towed using a dolly tow truck to the dealer.
The dealer is still working with Volvo to figure out the root cause. Volvo had the dealership perform a hard car reset. That allowed the vehicle to finally start. But now there is a check engine light that requires further troubleshooting.
All kinds of problems with this 2 week old 2022 XC60. I have an open case with Volvo customer service.
Anyone else having engine starting issues with such a new vehicle?

Here is a photo that shows the warning message when the vehicle was actually turned off and would not start. The car thinks the engine is running, when it's not.
The dealership had to perform a battery reset on the vehicle to get it to start. Now they are trying to figure out what caused it. Waiting on Volvo corporate.
Ongoing and still in their shop.

had something very similar happen to mine. I didn't get the notification though. I was on the phone with the Volvo Roadside people and decided to try and crank it once more and it turned over. Now I hold my breath whenever I start it up because I don't want to go through that again. Shouldn't have to do that on a brand new car!

Yes, had the same issue.
My XC60 is also only 2 weeks old. I got the same message when trying to start the car while debarking a ferry! Fortunately, I resolved the problem by exiting the vehicle, locking, unlocking, and starting it again. We had been sitting in the car for a few minutes waiting to debark when the problem occurred. Hopefully it will not happen again. It sounds as though your car has other issues as well, however, given the engine light and need for a tow.
