Default Blower motor replace need advice

Has anyone replaced the blower motor?

Mine is squeaking badly in cold weather.

Do I need a special tool? Where do i get one?
Best way to get at it?

Later model 2011 xc60 3.0 turbo T6. Mine doesn't have the hump on the dash
160,000 kms

Thanks,

Ken

Not a fun job. You need a special tool, not sure if anyone makes an aftermarket one. You'll probably also need to pull the dash. The ones that require dash removal are actually able to be done without pulling the dash but you need small hands and it helps to have done it before so you know what you're feeling for and trying to do.

Hi Ken.
Just wondering how you made out with your fan?
This seems to be a problem many people have!
Did you replace it yourself or did you get a gaeage / dealership to replace it for you?
