Default Car wash prep?

I’ve read a few threads warning against washing their Volvos in an automatic car wash, but most, if not all, focus on potential paint damage. That is not my main concern. I have read/heard about steps that owners of T8’s should take to avoid damaging the mechanics/sensors of their vehicles. Has anyone taken their T8 through one of those car washes that grab your front wheels and pull you through, while you wait outside? What prep did you do?

I pay $29 a month for all you can chew and the top wash including the 'bidet' treatment LOL. You just have to remember to release the park-hold feature, turn off the automatic w/s wipers, and make sure it's in neutral. Otherwise, I do my interior vacuum and such. I've been using them for near 20 years now w/o any issues. I can go every day if I want to.
