Default first maintenance at only 3000 miles???

my 2013 XC60 ask for first maintenance at 3000 mile on it's screen. really? that early? anybody have any suggestions?

The message is only going off of time. If I you haven't had it a year it was probably sitting on a lot for some time. Depending on how long you've had the vehicle you can either choose to ignore it or take it to the dealer to get the service done. The service interval for MY13 volvos is 1 year or 10,000 miles.

My mother-in-laws 2013 Ford Fusion just went in for its first service at 1,270 miles. They insisted on changing the oil and checking out the rest of the car.

Contact the nearest dealer and go from there if you want to keep your warranty.

Irrelevant information. Damien already explained it just fine. Also, the service reminder might not have been reset during the PDI
