Checked under the hood of my 2013 Volvo XC60 yesterday. After closing the hood, the message "hood open" with icon popped on the dash screen. I reclosed it several times, closing it hard and soft, I also checked each latch and saw nothing that appears wrong. Anyone have any ideas?

This is well known and not so rare problem. On some other Volvo forums, there are long threads with various solutions - from simply cleaning hood locks to lock replacements...
Would post link here to other forum - but not sure if it's in line with forum regulations?
