Pmb u200262
I have a xc60 year 2010 and i have this error pmb u200262, the parking brake woks perfectly, but in the dashboard at star show this notification "parking brake service required". Can someone help me with this problem
What does their work order say they did for you? Did the dealer clean/replace the switch? did they check for wiring issues? did they clear the code? its possible you have an intermttant wiring issue so when they ran diagonostics all appeared fine and cleared the code, only to have the wiring issue reappear later. Was the fault cleared when you picked up the car from the dealer?

I know this is an old thread, but there is so little information out there for these cars that I thought I would post a fix for one similar to this... We had a 2015 S60 (I know that isn't the same model) that had the "service parking brake" message and a U2002-62 code in the EPB module. Parking brake worked fine and all the PIDs for the parking brakes looked normal, so we got a used switch and plugged it in - same symptoms. We started testing wires and found an open circuit on a wire (I think it was the White/Brown one on pin 7) between the park brake switch and the EPB module (in the trunk on the S60). Ended up finding rodent damage to the body wiring under the left rear door sill.
Why everything still worked and what the function of that particular wire is is still a mystery. The only theory we could come up with is that Volvo used dual switches as a failsafe against false activation on the parking brake switch and this code was meaning that one of them isn't making sense? In our case it was a hard fault that would come back immediately, so it was a good deal easier to diagnose than an intermittent one, but if anyone has that U2002-62 it would certainly be worth checking the wiring between the switch and the module.
