Hi, I own a XC60 T5 from 2012 and when I tried to start the car today I got the message "Start button service required". However, it only started after several times pressing the button. Then it switched off the engine during driving. I could start again after pressing several times again and I managed to drive home. Now the car dors not start at all and it seems that it does not even recognize the key anymore if I push it into the slot. It is very frustrating. Would be very thankful for any ideas.

I wonder did you find out the issue?? Having the same thing. The problem is in the wire harness.. Just can't find the one. PM me if you had it sorted thanks
