Anyone else encounter a problem with the USB port on their XC60? We have a 2010. We've experienced intermittent problems with the USB connection not recognizing an attached iPhone.

A little over two years ago, the USB port stopped working entirely. Our local Volvo dealership replaced the USB port, but it stopped working again nearly two years later. Because the part was under warranty, they replaced it again.

Two months after the second replacement, the USB port stopped working again. Now, the dealership is telling us it requires an over $100 software patch to make it work.

Not sure I understand why I need to spend another $100 to get a commodity industry standard interface to work?

 

I would tell them since this problem first started over two years ago under warranty, and now they have a patch to make it work correctly, it should be covered under warranty.
